This wall artwork is a modern interpretation of Persian visual heritage, created using the flowing, expressive lines of Shekasteh Nastaliq calligraphy. Shapes move across layered surfaces, giving a sense of motion and rhythm, while reflecting the rich poetic traditions of Iranian culture. Subtle textures inspired by Persian carpets serve as the roots of the design, connecting the cultural heritage of the designer’s birthplace with a contemporary, spatially aware approach, bridging tradition and modern life.
The piece was designed and executed by Hadi Farahani in Vancouver, drawing on years of experience in design projects and formal art studies. Its size, fluidity, and presence naturally define the space, making the artwork more than decoration and establishing a focal point in any interior.
Versatile and adaptable, the work can be tailored to different environments:
- Residential feature walls – create a striking focal point in living rooms or private spaces.
- Commercial and public interiors – lobbies, offices, galleries, or hospitality spaces.
- Customizable materials and finishes – dimensions, colors, and textures can be adapted to suit the space.
- Personalized calligraphy – include poetry, meaningful text, or commissioned verses for a deeply personal or site-specific installation.
